Neyda H. Long

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Neyda H. Long holds a licentiate degree in Psychology from the Universidad Católica Andres Bello, a Graduate Diploma in Behaviour Modification from Simon Bolivar University in Behaviour Modification and MEd. in from the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in the area of Educational Foundations and Counseling. She obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from the University of New Brunswick. She published in 2016 her first Anthology of poems “El comienzo inconcluso”.She published her first bilingual (Spanish-English) Children’s Story Book “The  Flower/ La Bella Flor.”  And it was re-published in four languages (Spanish, English, French and Arabic) She regularly publishes her poems and short stories at the quarterly literary publication “The Apostles Review”. She published her poems in the following anthologies “Construyendo memorias: Escritoras latinoamericanas en el nuevo milenio” and “Hilar historias: Antología de escritoras latinoamericanas.

She resides in Fredericton and since 1983.

Neyda H. Long

Née à Caracas, au Venezuela, Neyda H. Long est titulaire d’une licence en psychologie de l’Université catholique Andres Bello, d’un diplôme d’études supérieures en modification du comportement de l’Université Simon Bolivar et d’une maîtrise en éducation de l’Université du Nouveau-Brunswick dans le domaine des fondements de l’éducation et du counseling. Elle a obtenu un doctorat en études pédagogiques de l’Université du Nouveau-Brunswick. En 2016, elle a publié sa première anthologie de poèmes intitulée El comienzo inconcluso. Elle a publié son premier livre bilingue d’histoires pour enfants (espagnol-anglais) qui a pour titre The Flower/ La Bella Flor. Son livre d’histoires pour enfants a d’ailleurs été traduit en français et en arabe. Elle publie régulièrement ses poèmes et ses nouvelles dans la publication littéraire trimestrielle The Apostles Review. Ses poèmes ont paru dans les anthologies suivantes : Construyendo memorias: Escritoras latinoamericanas en el nuevo milenio; et Hilar historias: Antología de escritoras latinoamericanas.

Neyda H. Long réside à Fredericton depuis 1983.
