Annick MacAskill

Annick MacAskill’s poetry has appeared in journals and anthologies across Canada and abroad. She is the author of two collections, No Meeting Without Body, a finalist for the JM Abraham Award and the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award, and Murmurations, both with Gaspereau Press. Her third book, Shadow Blight, will be published by Gaspereau in the spring of 2022. A settler of French and Scottish ancestry, she lives in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), on the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq, where she teaches French language and literature at Saint Mary’s University. She is currently serving as Poet-in-Residence with Ottawa’s Arc Poetry Magazine.

La poésie d’Annick MacAskill a été publiée dans des revues et des anthologies au Canada et à l’étranger. D’ascendance française et écossaise, Annick MacAskill vit à Kjipuktuk (Halifax), sur le territoire traditionnel et non cédé des Mi’kmaq, où elle donne des cours de langue et de littérature françaises à l’Université Saint Mary’s. À l’heure actuelle, elle est poète en résidence à la revue Arc Poetry Magazine d’Ottawa.
