Mary Jane Lundy

Mary Jane Lundy is a Craft NS Master Artisan Clay Sculptor.  She graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University in 2003 BFA major in Ceramics.  She has been a resident of East Dover, Nova Scotia since 1985.  A Clay Sculptor she creates to narrate the story of the place that she is lives with the goal of generating a joyous visual experience. She is inspired by the sea life found in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and the birds, animals and plant life that inhabit its shorelines.

Mary Jane Lundy est maître sculptrice de Craft NS. Son médium est l’argile. Elle a obtenu un diplôme de la Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University en 2003, avec spécialisation en céramique. Elle demeure depuis 1985 à East Dover, à un jet de pierre de Peggy’s Cove (Nouvelle-Écosse). En réalisant ses sculptures en argile, elle raconte l’histoire de l’endroit où elle vit afin de créer une expérience visuelle ludique. Elle est inspirée par la vie marine de l’océan Atlantique, ainsi que par les oiseaux, les animaux et les plantes qui peuplent ses rivages.
